NOTES:

– Barium swallow will be used if we want to find an anatomical defect
– Endoscopy will be done if they are looking to figure out whey patients have certain GI issues like abdominal pain; it is also the choice when tissue samples are needed
– Manometry is used to specifically test the function of the esophagus (ie. Is there co-ordinated movement, etc)
